A gourmet menu that celebrates summer

Without reservation

Our stylish vacation on Place Vendôme

For the first time in its history this regal square lends space to a terrace, allowing the Ritz Paris to radiate the spirit of Parisian chic amid its stunning façades. Lovers of Paris will find this a wonderful opportunity to feel the summer vibe in a magical setting. Tables with a Parisian bistro feel; seaside decor with a retro charm; a pastoral retreat set among climbing roses and jasmine flowers. In this theatre of greenery, everything contributes to creating an elegant atmosphere that encapsulates the French ‘art of living’.

On a sunny note

To add some extra summery color, the Ritz Paris has commissioned a rising star on the Parisian scene, to create an upbeat summer playlist. The talented musician Vanille tunes us into the rhythm of her favorites, where delicate melodies meet irresistible grooves. From July 1ˢᵗ, Vanille will be surprising us with an original song composed exclusively for the occasion: an enchanting stroll through the poetry of Paris neighborhoods. This collaboration highlights our shared passion for words, beauty and emotion.

Vanille and her musical tightrope

Vanille has a talent for transmitting her energy and lust for life to all those who cross her path. With her luminous voice and guitar in hand, she treads the line between music and words – lightly, yet with perfect confidence - like an accomplished tightrope walker. Singer, songwriter, composer... this all-round artist loves to mix up musical genres such as French chanson, Latin rhythms, bossa nova and blues. These influences intertwine to weave a gentle, vibrant pop sound ideal for summer.

Playlist: Un été au Ritz Paris

“From the first glimmers of light to night’s last breath, a musical journey through Paris, carried along by feelings.”

Vanille takes us through her selection

I. Morning - soft, voluptuous light

1. An original song by Vanille, created for the Ritz Paris

Released July 1ˢᵗ, 2025

2. Keep Smilin', Keep Laughin', Be Happy - Doris Day

This song makes me want to rush to open the shutters. It has a pure, vintage charm and a smile as its philosophy. It conjures the soft light of early morning in a suite at the Ritz Paris, when everything is still hushed.

3. La Javanaise - Juliette Gréco

This is the true voice of intimacy. She plunges me into an age when you’d find poetry in every nook. I see her in the Salon Proust, tea in hand, laughing out loud or simply basking in her thoughts.

4. Simply are - Papooz (Arto Lindsay cover)

Papooz has that relaxed, Parisian elegance I so love. This Arto Lindsay cover celebrates the simple fact of being an ode to whatever you’re doing right now – such as taking breakfast on Place Vendôme under a clear sky.

5. Le Temps de l'amour - Françoise Hardy

One of the first songs I learned on guitar! She’s been with me forever. Françoise Hardy is the epitome of French elegance. This carefree ballad is a tender ode to the Parisian summer, with just a hint of melancholy.

6. Suivre le Soleil - Vanille

I wrote this song so I’d find light wherever I go, even in the shadows. For me it evokes a room bathed in sunlight, curtains billowing, a certain inner peace. To play it at the Ritz Paris is to offer it to a place that really cultivates light.

II. Afternoon - Elegance, mystery and sensuality

7. Rouge à Lèvres - Alistair Lane & Sarah Degny

I love it when a scene is set in a matter of seconds. A lipstick drawing on a fogged mirror; silhouettes walking through a hotel lobby, heels on marble; a room where summer secrets are whispered in the aftermath...

8. Havana - Sofiane Pamart

I love Sofiane's piano, and this piece lets me travel while remaining motionless. It puts the magic of elsewhere at your fingertips, just as the Ritz Paris gives rise to dreams in our own city.

9. C'est si bon - Aoi Teshima

“C'est si bon” perfectly evokes the timeless elegance of the Ritz Paris. Aoi Teshima's delicate voice glides like a whisper between fine gilt finishes and bouquets of fresh roses, or accompanies afternoons strolling through Paris from Sacré-Coeur all the way to Place Vendôme.

10. Oh, Pretty Woman – Pomplamoose

This gentle, mischievous version makes me smile. It’s the perfect soundtrack to a chic hallway, discreet heels on the carpet, as a confident woman walks by in a beige trench coat and dark glasses, smiling. Parisian to the ultimate level, like a breeze of insouciance.

11. La Ritournelle - Sébastien Tellier

This song has long accompanied me on my travels, the landscape changing to the rhythm of this ritornello. It's a perfect match for this slightly flirtatious, kind of melancholy late afternoon as the full sun fades, thoughts wandering, heart open.

III. Evening & Night - between celebration and reverie

12. Back on 74 - Jungle

Night falls, the lights of Paris come on, and so does this song - perfect for immersing yourself in the nocturnal energy. A cocktail in hand on the terrace, between two dance steps.

13. Spread it - Kiddy Smile

I love Kiddy and what he embodies: a Paris that dances and dares. There's something very Ritz about his world, and I believe he's performed here before. “Spread it” conveys the idea that you can be flamboyant and precise at the same time, both ‘pop’ and political. The song is a declaration of freedom.

14. Zoom Zoom - Polo & Pan

An imaginary world tour in a song. I often listen to it on summer evenings, barefoot on the parquet floor. The Ritz Paris becomes a ship, with me as its thrilled passenger: it takes me to the middle of the night, when it seems like anything goes.

15. Toi - Barbara (Vanille influence)

Barbara has been my muse from the start, accompanying me in my creations with a trusted ear. Her voice makes me shiver with emotion; cradles me; guides me. Nothing is sweeter than Toi... I've saved it for the end, when everything calms down before dawn arrives like a caress.
